A message from Mr. Michael Resa, Superintendent of Schools

          Welcome to the Sarcoxie R-II School District’s web site.  Our school district, which is located 21 miles east of Joplin, Mo., consists of a dedicated, well-trained staff and a great student body. Sarcoxie’s student count, as of  September, 2008, was 801.   It is our belief that all of our students have the ability to learn and achieve their maximum potentials.  To that end, we are committed to providing all of our students with an equal opportunity for educational success.

     Our fully accredited school district serves three communities:  Sarcoxie, La Russell, and Reeds.  Each of these communities provides strong support for the education of our youth.  This has resulted in numerous building projects and program expansions.

     The Sarcoxie R-II staff is highly dedicated, motivated, professional and aims for excellence in all that we do for the education of our youth.  Please feel free to contact me for further information or, better yet, stop by for a visit.
